The Datix Hotspots module operates as an active surveillance tool, automatically tracking and analyzing data in real time from across your organization. Reporting tools allow staff to extract important aggregate information, which enables you to establish where improvements can be made. Problems are exposed and notifications sent to staff who can investigate immediately. Activity management tools ensure appropriate courses of action.

Datix Hotspots presents you with an opportunity to provide real-time automated detection of problems, allowing staff to focus on improving safety. It is intended for use by existing quality and risk staff, and integrates with the other safety and risk management tools offered within Datix.

Flexible criteria

Hotspot ‘Agents’ are created to establish thresholds, identifying the types and concentration of events which will trigger a hotspot itself. Some agents will be set to operate permanently, while others will be established to support a specific investigation or program of research which is significant within your own environment.

Enterprise problem management

The Hotspots module has been built to enable comprehensive analysis and surveillance across large and small organizations. Hotspot Agent creation and management is completed through a simple interface which overlays complex surveillance capabilities allowing for the administration of multiple active agents via a single agent record.

Consistent management of activity

Datix notifies staff of a problem and are immediately able to view the events which have led to the creation of a record. Specific actions can be set against the record automatically to ensure consistency of approach in the management of issues. Performance against those activities can be measured alongside activity in the wider system. 

Constant surveillance and real-time notification

The Hotspots module is constantly active, analyzing incoming information against the criteria set in your Hotspot Agents. When a problem is identified and a Hotspot is triggered, notifications are immediately sent to relevant staff. With Datix, problems are managed as they arise, rather than days or weeks after the event.
