The Saudi Patient Safety Center has established several key projects to achieve national strategies in improving the quality of healthcare and safe care for all. Hear how the Saudi Patient Safety Center took the lead with national transformation programs to improve patient safety at both the country and region level. The presentation will provide overview on the Saudi Patient Safety Center as well as the various projects and its impact on patient safety transformation.

Dashboard reporting in DatixWeb is a powerful way to maximize oversight for all users. Effective use of dashboards and reporting helps unit managers understand trends in safety events for their unit while increasing accountability hospital-wide. Join the speakers from The Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center to learn about the success of their dashboard initiative. Learnings will include how to increase use of dashboards, innovative strategies for use of the dashboards and various employee engagements to increase reporting.

SAWTAK is the Saudi Patient Safety Center's platform for capturing adverse events in the healthcare system and putting the strategies to learn from it, prevent re-occurrences, proper utilization of resources as well as empowering patient, public and healthcare professionals. SAWTAK covers 17,000+ healthcare facilities, which is expected to be rolled out over 5 years. Learn about the milestones and the timelines as well as the challenges of implementing a national wide project and the strategies to overcome those challenges.

In British Columbia, Datix software has been used by BCPSLS for more than a decade to facilitate provincial patient safety reporting and learning. This session will showcase four innovative ways in which the BCPSLS team worked with disparate user groups to configure the software to meet unique needs and address emerging trends. Examples include: supporting a standardized approach to trauma-related mortality review by participants from across the province; enabling specialty teams to manage issues of adult abuse and neglect; facilitating reporting of serious adverse drug reactions to federal agencies; and making safety reporting by patients and families possible.
