Datix Education Sessions at Palooza 2019

This year's event will bring together Datix and RL customers in Las Vegas, offering four days of sessions, panels and lots of time to network with peers from all over the world.

Last July, RL and Datix embarked on a new journey to form one, combined company. This significant milestone created the world’s largest software company focusing on patient safety and quality. This means we can now further empower our customers to drive change across a global health network.

At this year’s Palooza 2019 conference, we are bringing together Datix and RL customers in Las Vegas, Nevada. We will be offering four days of sessions, panels and lots of time to network with peers from all over the world.

In addition to meeting Datix staff face-to-face and having the opportunity to ask them questions, here are the Datix Education sessions to look out for. More details will be coming soon.

Patient Safety Movement and Transformation in Saudi Arabia

Tuesday | Session 1, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Saudi Patient Safety Center has established several key projects to achieve national strategies in improving the quality of healthcare and safe care for all. Hear how the Saudi Patient Safety Center took the lead with national transformation programs to improve patient safety at both the country and region level. The presentation will provide overview on the Saudi Patient Safety Center as well as the various projects and its impact on patient safety transformation.

Join the speakers from The Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center to learn about the success of their dashboard initiative. Driven by results of the Culture of Safety Survey, MD Anderson will discuss key initiatives driving this change including; Overall Goals, Closing the Feedback Loop, Daily Safety Huddles.

Utilizing DatixWeb for State Regulatory Reporting & Tracking

Utilizing SAWTAK's National patient Safety Learning System

SAWTAK is the Saudi Patient Safety Center's platform for capturing adverse events in the healthcare system and putting the strategies to learn from it, prevent re-occurrences, proper utilization of resources as well as empowering patient, public and healthcare professionals. SAWTAK covers 17,000+ healthcare facilities, which is expected to be rolled out over 5 years. Learn about the milestones and the timelines as well as the challenges of implementing a national wide project and the strategies to overcome those challenges.

DatixWeb Showcasing Innovation in Patient Safety Reporting & Learning

In British Columbia, Datix software has been used by BCPSLS for more than a decade to facilitate provincial patient safety reporting and learning. This session will showcase four innovative ways in which the BCPSLS team worked with disparate user groups to configure the software to meet unique needs and address emerging trends. Examples include: supporting a standardized approach to trauma-related mortality review by participants from across the province; enabling specialty teams to manage issues of adult abuse and neglect; facilitating reporting of serious adverse drug reactions to federal agencies; and making safety reporting by patients and families possible.
