London - HATS Group will deploy several Datix Cloud IQ modules – Incidents, Dashboards and Feedback – as it continually pushes for technological improvements that will foster better and safer patient care. Working together, these modules will provide HATS Group the ability to identify trends that can lead to harm events – enabling the organisation to take preventive action to keep potential patient harm events from occurring.
“We have a long track record of delivering high-quality patient transport services,” said Graham Martin, Non-Executive Director at HATS Group, “but we are always looking for ways to provide better and safer care. As the leading provider of incident reporting systems, Datix Cloud IQ will help us do just that, giving us the ability to learn from adverse events to help prevent their reoccurrence.”
Historically, HATS Group has used a paper-based reporting system to capture incident data and feedback. Now, with Datix technology, HATS Group will be able to better understand its own risk profile and easily locate and link all information across different areas. The triangulation of data in Datix Cloud IQ means staff will have access to all relevant data and easily be able to view and understand areas or risk. This will give HATS better access to effective data mining and trend analysis.
With 1,200 staff members, a fleet of more than 800 vehicles and a growing NHS customer base, improving rates of reporting and the accuracy of the data captured is vitally important. With data being submitted faster and with greater accuracy, HATS Group will continue to set a high bar for its standards of clinical practice.
“Patient transport providers, such as HATS Group, are a critical component of the healthcare patient care value stream,” said Claire Aldred, Commercial Director UK and Europe at Datix, “Much focus on patient safety has been on hospital care providers. With the implementation of Datix software, HATS Group is building on patient safety standards set by patient transport service teams and we are thrilled to be part of their journey.”
To HATS Group, an additional benefit of the Datix solution is that it promotes a culture of learning. The cloud-based software allows access to the system by anyone, anywhere, which makes the recording, investigating, and analyses of negative events much easier. Lessons learnt are shared much more quickly, creating a safer culture for staff and patients.
Datix is the leading provider of patient safety software, risk management software, and incident reporting software for the healthcare sector. Its most-recent product, Datix Cloud IQ, enables healthcare organizations to generate and implement strategies to enhance the delivery of efficient, targeted, and effective care.
More than 110 million people are protected by Datix software, which has been widely adopted by both public and private healthcare organizations around the world. Recently, Datix merged with RL Solutions; the combined companies now possess the largest repository of patient safety data in the world, making it possible to develop statistically relevant benchmarks for patient safety and risk management. Datix’s global headquarters are in London, with U.S. headquarters in Chicago.
