Supporting Information Governance

Datix Freedom of Information software forms an essential part of your Information Governance strategy by managing requests made under the Freedom of Information Act. To help you comply with targets, there is a reminder facility that will automatically flag up any requests that are due for a response. Key dates may be recorded, allowing performance reports to be produced. If the information is available in electronic format, it can be emailed automatically to the person requesting it. Members of the public may submit their requests electronically by means of a web form. Requests made by other means may be logged quickly and easily. All requests for information are recorded in the database and emailed to the appropriate person for action.

Stay on top of timescales

When a request is logged, Datix automatically calculates the dates on which acknowledgments and responses are due. The timescales adjust automatically according to the type of request. If payment or further information is requested, Datix "stops the clock", restarting it when the payment or information is received. Datix prompts you when a response is due and will remind you in advance when action is required giving you confidence that you will never miss a deadline.

Managing appeals and costs

Datix Freedom of Information captures all the information required to manage appeals, all the way up to the Information Commissioner. Datix allows you to estimate the costs associated with a request and to record the actual costs, including time spent dealing with the request and any other expenses.

Performance Management

Datix is provided with a full suite of standard reports, enabling you to measure and monitor your performance. You can also use Datix's intuitive and fully-featured report designer to create your own reports. Datix reports can be produced in a wide variety of different formats, both statistical and graphical and can be exported to Microsoft Excel.
